Barbara was born February 4, 1938 in New Haven, CT to George and Grayce (Bohn) Uihlein and spent her childhood in Judds Bridge, CT. In 1958 Barbara married the love of her life, Robert J. Sholtes and together raised their family in Danbury, CT.
After retiring from PMC Engineering LLC, Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Barbara loved her time in Cape Cod at the family's East Sandwich, MA cottage. She is remembered as an avid reader and for her creativity in arts and crafts.
Barbara was predeceased by her husband Robert J. and daughter Shari Lee (Sholtes) Chamoures. She is survived by her sons Robert G. (Maryan) Sholtes and Greg (Chrissy) Sholtes both of Bethel, CT; son-in-law John (Jen) Chamoures of New Fairfield, CT; grandchildren Jacquelyn (Nick) Vasquenza, Jessica (Nick) Hayes, Kevin Sholtes, Heather Sholtes; great-grandchildren Vinny and Gia Vasquenza; sister Lynda (Len) Manz of Homosassa, FL; sister-in-law Rosemary Sheehan of Danbury, CT; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Edward The Confessor Church, 21 Brush Hill Rd., New Fairfield, CT. Burial immediately to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Rt 37, New Fairfield, CT.
