Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, James, and three adoring children: Andrew, Ian, and Fiona. The love, guidance, devotion, and unending support that Barbara gave her family will be sorely missed but never forgotten. She was predeceased by her daughter, Moira.
Barbara was born in Stamford, CT, on September 26, 1955, to Jane Mahoney Nobes and the late Raymond F. Nobes. Barbara graduated from Danbury High School. She received her A.A. from Centenary College for Women (NJ) and her B.A. from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA.
Barbara will be dearly missed by her sisters: Jane (Edward) Brennan, Mary Beth O’Brien, Sharon (Timothy) von Gal, Susan (Jeffrey) Penn and her brother: Tim (Linda) Nobes. She is also survived by fourteen nieces and nephews.
Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and a friend to so many; several of her children’s friends considered Barbara as their second mother. A deeply spiritual person, she was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have supported Barbara on her journey home to God.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Friday, February 16, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 520 Ridgebury Road, Ridgefield, CT. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury.
Friends will be received from 6PM-9PM on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
