Armando was born in Mozambique to António Bernardo Julio and Arminda Marques Bernardo on December 17, 1956. He went to school at Colégio Don Bosco de Lourenço Marques and Danbury High School. He married Maria Bernardo on September 24, 1983, in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He attended Western Connecticut State University. He was an entrepreneur and began his own company, AB Electronics Inc., in 1992 and retired after twenty-nine years in December of 2021. He was a member of the Portuguese Cultural Center and the treasurer of the philanthropic organization of Villa Franca De Serra.
Armando is preceded in death by his parents, António Bernardo Julio and Arminda Marques Bernardo.
Armando is survived by his wife Maria Augusta Bernardo, children Christian Ashley Bernardo and Felicia Gloria Bernardo, granddaughter Emma Grace Bernardo, and sister Maria Vitoria Bernardo Bento.
Visitation for Armando will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, Connecticut. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury, CT.
Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave Extension, Danbury, CT.
