Anthony S. Abramo, 83, of Danbury, CT passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024, peacefully at his home in Danbury after a brief illness. He was the husband of the love of his life Rosemarie (Manes) Abramo.
Tony was born in Danbury, CT, a son of the late Charles and Grace (Miragila) Abramo. He graduated from Danbury High School and then attended Henry Abbott Tech post graduate school.
Tony was predeceased by his two brothers, Philip Abramo of Brookfield, CT and Frank Abramo of Monticello, IN.
Tony worked for Castro Convertible and Hoffman Fuel for many years before opening his own oil burner business, AA Burner Service. Tony also owned Total Real Estate Co.
Tony was an active member of the Catholic War Veterans and Knights of Columbus. He spent most mornings socializing with his friends at the Holiday Diner.
Tony loved life, his friends and most of all his family. He and his family spent a great deal of time traveling to different casinos playing craps and blackjack and taking in an occasional show.
In addition to his beloved wife of over 66 years, he is survived by his daughter, Linda (Robert Pennell); his son, Tony Jr.; his uncle, Sebastian Miragila and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at St. Joseph Church, Danbury.
A private burial service will take place at a time to be determined by the family.
Friends will be received from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury.
