Alice (Nickerson) Pepin, 83, formerly of 20 Beechwood Dr. Danbury, CT went to eternal peace with our Lord on Saturday, February 26, 2022. She was the wife of Joseph Pepin for 63 years who predeceased her just 5 weeks ago. She is survived by her children Debbie Newman, (Bryan), Elizabeth Demo, Barbara Lanza (Robert), Dorothy Pepin, and Joseph Pepin Jr. Her grandchildren, Nicole Demo, Alison (James) Weston, Krystal Perrotti, Kyle Demo, Bradley Newman, Stephanie Perrotti, Bobby Lanza, Cameron Newman, Addisyn Lanza, and great children Jayden Demo, Kali Montague, Kylee Demo, Theodore Weston, and many nieces and nephews. Brothers Larry (MaryLou) Nickerson, Bob (Dottie) Nickerson, Bill (Janis) Nickerson, and her sister Elsie (Chuck) Morris.
Alice was predeceased by her parents Frank and Gertrude Nickerson, and nephews Brad Morris and Tommy Pepin.
After graduating from Lewisburg High School, PA. she moved to Danbury and met the love of her life, where they raised their 5 children. Alice’s biggest joy was taking care of her family and others which she faithfully did all of her life, never missing a chance to celebrate others accomplishments, big or little. She was an accomplished seamstress, sewing matching outfits for her 4 girls, and every year made the most beautiful Halloween costumes for all of her grandchildren. Alice was a self-taught interior decorator, constantly updating the wallpaper in every room of their home, as well as every one of her grandchildren's bedrooms. She worked as the “milk and ice cream lady” in Shelter Rock Elementary School at her children’s school, followed by many years at Davis and Geck and United Way. Throughout her life, Alice was a devoted and faithful parishioner and servant at the Central Christian Church in Danbury where she served as the Board Chair for many years.
Visitation for Alice will be held Friday, March 4, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St, Danbury, Connecticut 06810. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 10:30 AM at Central Christian Church, 71 West Street, Danbury, CT 06810. Burial will occur Saturday, March 5, 2022, at St. Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave Extension, Danbury, CT 06810.
