Alice was born on May 28, 1931 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to her parents, Lena Canfield Martin and Edward Martin. She attended school at Stratford Public Schools, and went on to have a long career at People’s Bank. She moved to Stratford, CT with her husband in 1977, where she enjoyed her retirement.
Alice was a very social person, and was always actively participating in clubs and activities, even in her last years of life. She spent her retirement enjoying time with her friends and family, and loved participating in events at local senior centers. This past year, Alice was so proud to be elected President of Resident Council at Filosa for Nursing and Rehabilitation. Her energetic drive and positive spirit was so appreciated by her community.
Alice’s most cherished role in life was being a grandmother, and she absolutely adored spending her later years in life being an active and important role in her grandchildren’s lives.
Alice was predeceased by her husband, John Kyne; and her sister, Lois Tremont.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Barbara Ramsey; her grandson, Tim Ramsey and his wife Katie; her grandson, Brian Ramsey; her great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace Ramsey; her former son-in-law, Donald Ramsey; her nephew, Jason Tremont and his wife Felecia and son Robert; and her nephew, Geoffrey Tremont and his wife Michelle and daughters Emma and Madeline.
