

Zunoraine Holmes was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 9, 1970. Born to the late Hebert Holmes and Bernadette Smith-Holmes. He received his High School diploma from Greensburg Salem Senior High, earned an Associate’s degree from Delaware County Community College in May 1994, Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Howard University School of Business in 1997, and an MBA from the University of Dallas in 2006 with a dual concentration in Organizational Development and Strategic Leadership. During his time at Howard, Zunoraine was actively involved in the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi – Iota Rho Chapter where he served as Vice President of Professional Activities during the Spring of 1994, and as President from Fall 1996 – Spring 1997.
Zunoraine lived a life of purpose, having rededicated his life to Christ in his early 20’s and meeting Dana while both were attending separate colleges in Philadelphia, PA. They were married on June 29, 1996 and moved to Silver Spring, MD prior to relocating to Dallas, Texas. Zunoraine and Dana became members of The Potter’s House of Dallas on July 6, 1997. He volunteered in the Youth Ministry serving as a leader within the Education department, Judah’s Lions, and P3 Ministries. A studious man of excellence, and in order to make full proof of his ministry, Zunoraine gave himself to further study at The Potter’s House School of Ministry and was licensed as a minister and ordained elder. Affectionately known as “Elder Z,” he helped to develop Missions in his ministerial capacity by training volunteers and leading missionary trips to Kenya, Belize, Mexico, and South Africa.
Zunoraine worked in corporate America for eleven years at GTE, AT&T, and Chase Paymentech before accepting his first assignment at The Potters House as Missions Coordinator in 2008. In 2009, Zunoraine worked as Business Development Specialist for TD Jakes Enterprises LLP and was promoted to Executive Vice President of Business Operations in 2014. In 2016, Zunoraine became the Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Director of United MegaCare.
Zunoraine leaves to cherish and carry on his legacy, his devoted loving wife, Dana Stevenson-Holmes, daughters, Erica Stevenson and Amira Holmes, granddaughter, Alanah Wallace; sister, Padishah Aliyya Willis, sister-in-law, Adrienne Stevenson, brother-in-law, Donald Stevenson Jr.; supportive aunts, Gwendolyn Anderson, Jennifer Harvey, Pamela Smith, Renee Nottingham, Elaine Oglesby, and Linda Holmes; nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Willis III, Helena Willis, Asia Willis, Jazmine Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Tyler Willis, Andre Dupree, Dwayne Stevenson, and Devon Toliver; great-nephews, Roman Willis and Tylid Shakoor; cousins, Ronald and Juanita Anderson, Christian and Rosie Anderson, Joseph Harvey, Talitha and Donte Nicholson, Jarrell & Yokechia Kenyatta Holmes, Jason and Dasha Holmes, Clarissa Coelho, Tara and Anthony Sanders, Jericha Holmes, and Vaughn Nottingham, III. Zunoraine will also be remembered by his closest friends, a special brotherhood that has extended over twenty years; Ian Clarke, Christopher Barney, and David Roberson. He is also survived by godchildren who will miss him dearly, a host of relatives, great friends, colleagues, fraternity brothers, and his church family.
A public viewing will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Laurel Land Funeral Home.
A private Celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.
