She attended St. Paul School District. She accepted Christ at an early age, and she was employed with Mary Shields Hospital, in Dallas, TX, until she retired.
Mother Zelma lived in Corsicana, TX, where she attended Second Missionary Baptist Church. She loved singing and ushering. Later, she moved to Dallas and united with Carver Heights Baptist Church for many years, under the leadership of Rev. Tyler Carter. Zelma later changed her membership to Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Karry D. Wesley. She was a devoted member until her health failed her. She sang in the Senior Choir, was an usher, and a part of Antioch’s Mother’s Board. She was preceded in death by her Son, Edward Williams, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted daughter, Pearlie Gregory, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, a family of faith and her Lennwood family.
