Yolanda C Lund entered eternal rest on May 1, 2023 in Plano, TX. She was born in Cuba on January 1, 1936 to Jose and Mercedes Chavez. Yolanda lived in Miami, FL and Mexico City prior to meeting her husband, Wilbur. They married in February 1970 and moved to Dallas immediately after her marriage. Yolanda worked in accounting, as a Spanish teacher and as a Mary Kay Sales Director. While working there, Yolanda was one of the first Directors to travel to and sell Mary Kay in Mexico. Yolanda believed in helping women to take charge of their circumstances and become truly independent. She was an active member of St. Rita Catholic Church for many years. Yolanda loved music, dancing, cooking and her telenovelas. She loved to host friends and family at home. The doors were always open during holidays to friends and family that had nowhere else to go – or preferred to come to her home because it was the best place to be. Yolanda loved her fur babies, who were always Chihuahuas: Doggie, Marvin and Chispa. Her family meant the world to her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Roland Lund and her parents. Those left to cherish her memory are sons, Roland J. Lund and John C. Lund (Crystal); brother, Ricardo Chavez (Cristina) and granddaughter, Madelyn Lund. A Rosary will be prayed in her honor at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church – Farmers Branch at 10:30 am on June 12, 2023 with a Memorial Mass to begin at 11:00 am.
