I am just now learning of the tragic loss of Yang Pan. She was a very dear colleague when I worked at The Coca-Cola Company. I have a beautiful watercolor she had her father paint for me as a remembrance of our friendship. I will always treasure it and my memories of her. She was a delightful person , so very knowledgeable and willing to share her expertise. My deepest sympathies to Chihchiang and all her family and friends.

Yang was an incredible friend and my heart just breaks hearing this sad news.  She always called me her big sister (she was 30 years younger) and I will miss her terribly.  We shared some wonderful times together, especially as we commiserated in anticipation of our untimely layoffs from The Coca-Cola Company.  I was so proud to introduce my granddaughter to Yang that time we all visited Houston's China Town.  

Chihchiang, I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved wife.  She was a beautiful and lovable young lady who made a difference in the lives of everyone she met, and her presence in our lives was truly a blessing.  

May she rest in peace.

Chihchiang- the "honey bunny" that was Yang's steady rock- I hope that in time you will have comfort in your memories of your life together and find solace. I will miss the spark in her eyes, her guidance, our wonderful discussions, and her zest to do what felt right and what would leave a lasting impact on others. May her memory be eternal.

For 14 years, we’ve been best friends, and you are like my younger sister. Despite not seeing each other every day, we’ve weathered countless ups and downs together. We’ve shared laughter, knowledge, and thoughts, and we’ve been each other’s pillars during both professional and personal challenges.

Yang was a special blessing from God. She lived in Texas,I in New Mexico. We both had stage 4 Metastatic  breast cancer for which there is no cure. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes that there is a time for all things, a time to live and a time to die. Yang, lived as best as she could for her time here, she fought as hard as she could for as long as she could. Her hearts desire was to help to find a kinder gentler way to treat breast cancer. She got into trials for metastatic breast cancer in order to help. She was in for the fight of her life and she knew it. To find a cure for herself would have been great but she wanted to help find a better treatment for all. She was willing to put herself in that place and willing to suffer the treatments. I hope she knew what an inspiration and encouragement she was to me and how much I admired her. She was a fierce fighter for what she believed in. We don't fight those battles alone, we need the support of those we love. Yang had that support from her husband, Chihchiang who was loving her and supporting her every step of her battle. That had to be so hard to watch her fight and suffer so much and yet keep her goal in sight. I know her battle helped to  make the way for a future kinder gentler treatment for breast cancer. Yang certainly made her mark in this world and on my heart and the hearts of all who knew her. She was an amazing young woman. She is deeply missed.

Dear Yang, you were such an angel and I'm absolutely fortunate to have had you as a friend. I still remember the many happy gatherings we had. My kids loved having you over and they always had a lot of fun with Pan Yang A Yi. We will miss you forever and best wishes to Xiao Qiang and your family.
