Those who knew Wyatt will remember his wit, his assurance, his generous spirit, and his gleaming potential. But they also know that he was tortured for much of his life by a cruel and relentless addiction that knew no bounds.
Born in Dallas on July 9, 1990, Wyatt traveled to Alaska and Austin and Florida for adventure and work before settling back in Dallas a few years ago. He was an Eagle Scout and a 2009 graduate from Booker T. Washington School for Performing Arts. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing guitar and cooking.
He is survived by the love of his life, his 9-year-old son, Myles Young and Myles’ step-brother Harrison Weathered. He also leaves behind his parents, Linda and Terry Young, of Dallas; brother Zachary Young and wife Sarah; sister Calli Rose Young-Windle and husband Alex; grandparents Herberta and Carl Schmeider, of Milford, Ohio; uncles John Bugaj and wife Lori, of Seattle, Washington; Brent Young and wife Rena, of Milford, Ohio and Shawn Young and wife Kelly, of Anderson Township, Ohio. He also leaves behind cousins: Ian, Taylor, Vanessa, Catrina, Hunter, Logan, Teddy and Henry. He is also remembered by friends and an extended family of supporters of recovery.
There will a celebration of Wyatt’s life and the gifts he shared with the world at a memorial service to be held at an appropriate time.
