William Dennis Wright

William D. Wright of Rockwall passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011. Bill was born in Dallas, Texas on December 13, 1943.He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and A. Sydney Wright of Dallas. He is survived by his sister Rene Wright of Santa Fe, New Mexico, three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Susan of Dallas, Alan and Laura of Frisco and James and Meghan of Louisville, KY, four grandchildren, Daniel, Katie, Rebecca and Abigail and a nephew, Michael Porth. Bill graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1962 and from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1966 and a Master of Science in Computer Science in 1967. He was a retired Systems Analyst from General Electric. He was 32nd degree Mason, member of the Keystone Lodge and Hella Temple Shrine and an active Kiwanis member. He attended Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas and Ridgeview Church in Rockwall. Bill was a loyal fan of Dallas Stars hockey. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. Funeral services 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel. Interment to follow Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of usual remembrances memorials may be made to Scottish Rite Hospital. Bill will be remembered for his charitable work with the community and the great love he had for family and friends.
