William Doyle Maples, 81, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Doyle was born in Caddo Mills, Texas on May 30, 1935 to John and Ella (Williams) Maples. He grew up in Wolf City, Texas. He made his home in Dallas with his wife Charlotte (Holland) Maples. He worked as an Electrician and was a Jack of all trades. His memory will be carried on by those who loved him including his sons Richard Doyle Maples, Anthony Lee Maples and wife Lisa, Charles Maidens and wife Nancy and Alan Prichard, daughters Lisa Roberson and husband Ken and Allison Morris and husband Troy, 8 grandchildren Eric Maples, Alysa Wiggins, Amy Isom, Leah Wear, Amber Slaton, Brandon Becker, Emily Maples and Anthony Maples II, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and one brother, Ray Maples. Doyle will be lovingly remembered as “Grandpa”. He goes home to meet his wife, Charlotte, his parents, brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10 am at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
