Bill Hill passed away peacefully on September 30, 2016 in Dallas Texas. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on April 24, 1931. His family later moved to Dallas, Texas, where he graduated from Highland Park High School and then Texas Christian University. Bill played football at Highland Park and in 1951 contributed to TCU winning the Southwest Conference Championship. After college Bill became an Independent Insurance Agent and owned several agencies in Dallas and East Texas until retiring in the late 1990’s. In 1980 Bill completed a term as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas. A devoted Christian and volunteer on many church committees Bill served as Deacon and an Elder at Highland Park Presbyterian Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing his entire life. For the last few years he has enjoyed an active life at Presbyterian Village North in Dallas. He is preceded to Heaven by his parents, Mary Louise Culbertson and Herbert William Hill. Wives, Loey Baird Bass Hill and Janet Burnett Brown Hill. He is survived by his children and their spouses: Sarah Jane Noyes and (William Thomas Francis) of Dallas, David Lanier Hill and (Larrilee Parkerson) of Nacogdoches, Stephen Herbert Hill of Dallas, and Mary Martha Hill and (Jay Cone) of Hailey, Idaho. Mia Hill’s mother Bettina Longoria of Crested Butte, Colorado. Grandchildren and spouse: Sarah Katherine Francis (Travis Stenseth), William Thomas Francis, Jr., Mary Louise “Mia” Hill, Timothy Burr Cone and William Avery Cone. Great Grandchild: Braden Michael Stenseth. An opportunity for visitation will be Wednesday October 5, 2016 from 6-8pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Mortuary located at 7405 W. Northwest Highway in Dallas, Texas. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday October 6, 2016 at Highland Park Presbyterian Church located at 3821 University Blvd, Dallas, Texas, with a Reception immediately following.
