Mr. William “Bill” Hall, aged 77, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2021, surrounded by family. He was a son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a friend. He was born in Everett, Washington on March 21, 1944 to Clayton Roy Hall and Carolee Patricia Hall. He married Carol Anne Kreger and they had a daughter together, Cassandra. In December 1963, shortly after graduating High School, he enlisted in the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Rupertus. He served as a Boatswain Mate Rigger, an Engineman, a Machinery Repairman and a Fireman during the Vietnam War. He earned the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was Honorably Discharged from the Navy in December 1969. With the skills he learned during his time as a Sailor, he took up numerous jobs in the field of carpentry for a majority of his life up until his retirement. He and his first wife divorced. He lived for some time in California joining the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club and Florida wrestling Alligators and finally resting in Texas where he met and later married the love of his life, Carol Ann Smith in 1973. They were married for 48 years. Together they had a daughter, Shelly in 1975. Carol had 3 boys Frankie, Robert and Ronald and 1 girl Janet that Bill raised as his own. He was a gifted Artist. He was always a lover of the Outdoors and you could see him almost always doing something to enjoy the Outdoors. He was camping all over the US but mostly Texas, hiking in the mountains where he grew up and other places, or kicking back in the early hours fishing. He often took the time to teach others about the Outdoors and how to fish, especially the little ones. He would often reminisce of his child hood and of Cubby a bear that lived with them for some time in the mountains. He loved all of his family, his two cats Bobby and Hook, watching old TV reruns of game shows, playing long hands of Gin and Onze with his daughter Shelly and her family. Everyone enjoyed his cooking and he spent some time on his travels as a Chef. He would stay up all night cooking with Shelly for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He also cooked in the Navy. He loved using his creative side to build Holiday sleighs and yard cut outs for the Apartment complexes he worked for as a Maintenance Supervisor. He had a quirky sense of humor and would lend a hand to anyone in need. He faced many challenges in life and overcame most. Bill chose to keep his illness to himself as to not burden anyone. That was just like his character. He is preceded in death by his parents.
