William Carl Dalton, Jr., age 87, passed away on November 7th, 2023, in Richardson, TX. Will was born on January 5th, 1936, in Minden, LA to Jaunice Davenport and William Carl Dalton Sr. and was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. He attended Byrd High School and continued his education at Centenary College where he graduated in 1964. Afterwards, he spent time serving in the United States Army as a young adult.
He married Pamela Stewart in 1967 and they had 2 daughters with whom they shared many cherished memories as a family. He worked as a broker in the agriculture feed industry and was a business owner at LaCour Dalton, Co, Inc. for 40 years.
In his spare time, William enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden growing the finest tomatoes his family ever enjoyed, playing golf, fly fishing, traveling, spending time with his family and friends and attending the Episcopal Church.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loyal and compassionate man who cherished his friends and family. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Carl Dalton Sr. and Jaunice Davenport Dalton, and his sister, Margaret Lynne Dalton Ratelle.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Stewart Dalton, his brother John H. Dalton (wife Margaret Dalton), his cousin Jean Hoffman, his daughters, Mary Margaret Preston, and Elizabeth Dalton Fuller (husband Clayton Fuller), and grandchildren, William Stewart Preston, Taylor Reese Preston, Katherine Grim Fuller and William Theron Fuller. He is also survived by his niece and nephews, Martha Doyle and family, Robert Ratelle and family, John Dalton Jr. and family, and Chris Dalton and family.
