William Cornelius, Jr. was born to Lula Mae Ross and William Cornelius, Sr. on September 30, 1943, in Jacksonville, TX. His mother, Lula Ross, later remarried Vernon Adams, who raised William, as his own son.
William attended and graduated Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas, TX. He worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight Trucking Comp., where he worked faithfully for more than 25 years until he retired. .
William confessed Christ at an early age; he later converted to Jehovah’s Witness and was an avid Bible reader & student in their teachings until his departure.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Cornelius, Sr.; his loving mother, Lula Mae Adams and his step father, Vernon Adams. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sally Cornelius; his daughter, Liz P. Galloway and three sisters, Verna L. Adams, Lula B. Tasby, and Linda N. Jackson, and one brother, Andrew Adams. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his step children, Michelle D. Smith(James), Lawanza R. Hanks, Keith J. Hanks(Richeas), Florine Bryant, Fatima Davis, and Bobby Davis, Jr; four sister-in-laws, Bobbie Goins, Vera Autrey, Lucy Lockhart & Emma Timmons; 11 grand children; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
