Dr. Warren York Randall died Tuesday, August 22, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. He was 75 years old. Dr. Randall, a native of Ashland, Kansas, was born on September 14, 1941. He graduated from Ashland High School in 1959, Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas in 1963 and Baylor College of Dentistry in 1967. Dr. Randall began his dental career in Lewisville, Texas, and practiced there for 45 years until his retirement in 2012. He was joined in his practice by his son, Dr. Andrew (Drew) Warren Randall in 1999 and Drew continues to carry on the family practice to this day. Dr. Randall was a member of the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Dallas County Dental Society. Dr. Randall was a man of strong faith and worshipped throughout the years at Irving Bible Church, Park Cities Presbyterian Church and Church of the Incarnation. He was also a member of Las Colinas Country Club, where he enjoyed two of his favorite sports, golf and tennis. Dr. Randall was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He cherished the sporting events of his children and grandchildren and was considered by all to be their finest cheerleader. He loved life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at Bible Study, Coon Creek Club, supper clubs and on the golf course. Throughout his 22-year illness, he never lost his capacity for joy. Dr. Randall is survived by his wife, Gail Olmsted Randall, a daughter, Wendy Randall Phelan and husband, Dr. Tom Phelan, two sons, John Wood Randall and wife, Kathy and Dr. Andrew Warren Randall and wife, Carrie, sister, Charlene Hughes, and nineteen grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at The Church of the Incarnation, 3966 McKinney Avenue, Dallas. The burial will be private. The Randall Family would like to thank Dr. Gene Frenkel, Dr. Kevin Courtney, Dr. Stuart Owen, Judy Devlin and caregivers Nelson Nyemba, Elizabeth Chanda and Sydney Sikazwe as well as the wonderful angels from Faith Presbyterian Hospice for their support and kindness during Dr. Randall’s illness. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
