Wanda Rowe McNair

Wanda was born in Hopkins County, near Sulphur Springs, on July 24, 1927, to John Allen Rowe and Eula Boggs Rowe. She was a 1944 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. She married Lloyd L. McNair, Jr. in 1948, then lived in DeSoto for many years, raising her family of two girls and two boys. Her chosen profession was bookkeeper, retiring in 1993 from TIB Corporation of Dallas.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and by her four sisters: Laverne Cavender, Dorothy Vaden, Garlece DeRow, and Janita Jo Overton.

Survivors include daughters Joanye McNair and husband, Roger Ashcraft; Teresa Bullock and husband, Joe; sons Alex and Tim McNair, and Tim's wife Elaine; grandchildren Stephanie Lugo and Ben Bullock; Jason Ashcraft and Sarah Elizabeth Smith; Aaron and Darcy McNair; Travis and Thomas McNair; and great grandchildren Drew Smith, Lailani Lugo, Hannah McNair, and Caleigh McNair; also several nieces and nephews.
