Walter Lee Fleming III

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Walter "Lee" Fleming III on October 31, 2021 in Dallas, TX. He was born on October 9, 1940 in Dallas, Tx. Lee will be remembered as enjoying football and every sporting game there was. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Lee was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School, Notre Dame University and Southern Methodist University. Believing in higher education, Lee was a professor at Dallas County Community College. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Fleming Jr and Elizabeth Fleming Welch; brother, Ed Fleming and sister, Carolyn Shinnick. Lee is survived by sisters, Joan Fleming Bovis and Dianne Fleming Madden and her husband Tom Madden, brother-in-law Larry Shinnick, longtime friend Mike Morrow and his wife as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed. A Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home on Friday November 5, 2021 from 8 am to 9 am in the North Mausoleum Chapel with Funeral Mass following at 9 am. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery – Dallas, TX.
