Walter Lovic Cain Jr.

Walter was born May 24, 1937 in Tyler, Texas. He attended Southern Methodist University where he met the love of his life Mary Agnes Benckenstein whom he married in 1960. While at SMU, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta. He later earned his degree from Texas Tech University.

He and his wife were members of Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church for over 50 years, where they ushered and participated in Meals on Wheels. Walter was also a member of Royal Oaks Country Club.

In addition to spending time with family, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and especially his Tuesday card game with friends of many years. He was known to them as Willie.

Walter is survived by his wife Mary Agnes Cain, sister Connis Cain, daughter Caren Graves, son John Cain and his wife Lee as well as six grandchildren, Taylor and Blake Graves, Mary Catherine, Walter, Eleanor, and Stuart Cain.

The service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church at 2 p.m. Reception will follow.
