Virginia was raised in Dallas, Texas and married Jose Cruz Zuniga in 1988. She worked in Environmental Services for MBNA for more than thirteen years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo along with enjoying time her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Cruz Barron; mother, Eugenia Reyes Tijernia; son, Rudy Gomez; sisters, Becky Cortez, Refugia (Cookie) Martinez, Nestora Cisneros; brothers, Matthew Barron, and Benjamin Barron.
She was survived by her husband, Jose Cruz Zuniga; daughter, Eugenia (Janie) Gomez; sons, Israel Gomez, Jr., Ernest Gomez; Robert B. Gomez, David J. Gomez; daughters, Mary Diana Gomez, Rosemary B. Molina and Lisa B. Flores; sisters, Carmen Cerda, Estella Almazan, Lupe Romo; brothers, Joseph Tijernia, Alfonso Valadez, Samuel Barron, Simon Barron, Antonio Barron, Chon Barron; twenty-five grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren.
