Victor J. Medina II was born in Dallas, Texas on November 13, 1962, and passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018. He was the second of four children and the oldest son. He graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School where he was an honor student, voted Class Favorite, played on the Varsity soccer team, Varsity baseball team and in the Student Council.
Victor graduated from Southern Methodist University from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and served as Social Chairman. Victor worked with his father, Victor J. Medina Sr. in a family-owned Accounting Practice. A few of Victor’s strongest character traits were his strong work ethic in school and business, his sense of humor and loyalty to family and friends.
Victor’s hobbies included his keen interest in the Stock Market. He was an avid reader of the Wall Street Journal, London Financial Times and a myriad of business magazines. With the knowledge he learned in college and the wisdom he gained over the years, he enjoyed advising clients on their stock portfolios and investing in his own. Victor also enjoyed traveling and his favorite place was Hawaii.
Though beset by many infirmities in his mid-twenties, Victor retained his Christian faith. His beloved Dad, Victor J. Medina, preceded him in death. Victor’s courage and acceptance in the face of great physical suffering will remain an inspiration to all who knew and loved him. Victor we will miss your intelligent, acute sense of humor, your full-throated laugh and the depth of caring you expressed for your family and friends.
Victor is survived by his mom, Anna Medina, sister Adriene Medina Grimes (Russell), brother Richard Medina (Shelly), sister Melissa Katz (Scott),
niece Tiffany Medina, and nephews Ritchy Medina, Christopher Medina, Jack Katz and Collin Katz. Several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
