Vicki Lynn Orchard Kososki, born September 20, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Vella Juanita Orchard and Robert (Bob) Orchard, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023. Vicki is survived by her husband, Joseph Anthony (Tony) Kososki, of Plano, Texas; her children, Adam Kososki and wife Cindy, of Waco, Texas, Austin and wife Kathleen, of Richmond, Texas; and 4 grandchildren, Baylee Engel of Waco, Texas, Ellie Engel of Waco, Texas, Dean Kososki of Richmond, Texas, and Emily Kososki of Richmond, Texas; her brother, Don Orchard and wife Susan, of Cedar Park, Texas; nephews, Jason Orchard and wife Erin of Tampa, Florida, Tim Orchard and wife Sunshine of Claremore, Oklahoma; and niece, Erin Gray and husband Ryan, of Cedar Park, Texas.
Vicki graduated from Will Rogers HIgh School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1971, and attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas. Vicki and Tony's paths crossed while at Baylor University in 1974 and their relationship began in 1976. Vicki was an STE Little Sister and subsequently a KA Little Sister at Baylor. As one of his KA brothers recently told Tony, "Vicki was a beautiful woman in both looks and personality. Tony's loss is also a loss for all of us as well." Vicki and Tony were married on June 2, 1979, at the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. In the beginning, they lived in San Antonio, Texas. She worked at a title company while Tony attended dental school at The University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio. After dental school, Vicki and Tony moved to Richardson, Texas, in 1981. At that time Tony started his dental practice and Vicki served as Office Manager/Receptionist/ Treatment Coordinator and anything needed to help Tony get the practice up and running. Vicki was smart and had good business management skills. In 1982, they moved to their first home in Plano where they welcomed their first son, Adam, into their family. At that time, she not only continued her work in Tony's dental practice but also managed taking care of Adam. In 1984, they moved to their second home in Plano where she resided until her death. In 1987, Vicki and Tony welcomed their second son, Austin, into their family. Now it was time to be home and raise 2 boys. Those next years were full of school, soccer and baseball with little bit of football thrown in. She loved her sons. There may have been times when they did not like her tough love, but deep down inside they knew she always had their back. She loved playing card games with Tony and the boys. Many of these games lasted until the early morning hours and occasionally till sunrise. Vicki was an avid sports fan of golf, hockey and baseball to the very end with football being her favorite. She was never afraid to give the referees on TV her opinion during a Baylor or Dallas Cowboys football game. Vicki loved going to the beach whether in Texas, Florida, California, Costa Rica, or Jamaica. She was blessed with the 4 grandchildren, Emily, Dean, Ellie and Baylee. Unfortunately, she never got to hold little "Emmi Kate", but MiMi will be waiting to greet her in heaven. Vicki was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. Her faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was instilled at a young age while attending Will Rogers United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
