Vera Ross, 96, of Irving passed away on November 1, 2014 at Northgate Plaza in Irving, TX. After a long battle with cancer, she passed peacefully in her sleep. She will always be remembered as a loving Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and friend to all that knew her, loved her or came into contact with her.
She was born in Linden, TX on May 21, 1918 to Jim and Betty Green. As a member of the Oak View Baptist Church in Irving, she was a very devoted Christian and helped so many in her active church life. She was an always loving mother, who thought of and provided for her children first.
Survivors include her daughter Sharon and her husband Henry V. Byrd of Waxahachie, a son John Ross and his wife Tami of Hooks, TX, a twin sister Era Pearson of Richardson, Grandchildren: Karin Byrd and Kristin Byrd MacFarland and husband Scott, Johnny Ross and his wife Kendra, Kimberly Wall and her husband Brian, Christopher Ross and his wife Bobbie Nell, Great Grandchildren: Brady and Kacey MacFarland, Bradley Vion, Brayden, and Brooklyn Ross, Chandler and Cayden Wall, Allie and Avery Ross and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne B. Ross and son Jerry Wayne Ross.
Services to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel East, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225.
