Turner Berry was born on January 24, 1943 in High Bank, Falls County, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Berry. Turner received his education through High Bank Independent School District. He enlisted in the United States Army at a very young age and served his country. After being honorably discharged from the Army, Turner became on the of the first African Americans to work for Tom Thumb as a butcher.
Turner entered a union of matrimony with Ivory Bevins and two children were born to this union, daughters; Jacquelyn Berry (son, Iven) and Onita Morris (son, Darriayl). Later, Turner entered into matrimony with Emma Foster in which two children were born to this union, daughter; Sheri Brisco (daughters, Sha'Kendra and S'Myah) and son; James Turner Berry.
Those left to cherish his memories are: his children, grandchildren, brothers; Edward Berry (Elizabeth) of Midland, TX, Billy Fred Berry (Gale) of Dallas, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
