Tommy Duvall, 88, passed away November 3, 2014. Services will be on Friday morning November 7 at 10 a.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home with Wes Price officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening November 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas. Tommy was born on March 27, 1926, to Jess and Lora Duvall of Midlothian, Texas. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines. He was so happy to be part of an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in 2009. He was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and served for many years as a teacher. He was a dedicated employee of Hunt Oil Company for over 30 years. He was then blessed to have many happy retirement years fishing, attending family and retiree functions, and serving in his church. Tommy was a man of great character who was much loved by family and friends. Always thoughtful and kind, he will be missed by many. Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Aline, his parents, and three brothers and one sister. He is survived by daughter Lynn Duvall, daughter and husband Phil and Kathy Murphy, two grandsons Thomas Murphy and Matthew Murphy, two step grandsons Robert Murphy and Michael Murphy, and one great grandson Phillip Murphy, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his friend Ann Taylor.
