Thomas E. Simon, 83, of Dallas TX passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born in St. Louis, MO on June 20, 1930 to Nicholas and Marie Nealon Simon. He was one of six brothers, five who preceded him in death. He married his wife, Jeanene, in 1951 and was dispatched to the Korean War where he served in the Army Medic Corps during the war and as a reservist until 1960. He went to work with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where he became a District Manager. In 1965, he began his career with Levi Strauss & Co. in outside sales and ended his 25 year service as a Regional Manager in New York. He retired to Dallas TX where he enjoyed golf with friends and many good years with his loving family.
Survivors include his wife Jeanene of 63 years; his son, Thomas Jr. of Saratoga Wyoming, sons James, Richard and daughter Julie of Dallas, TX; His legacy includes 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.
A Graveside Service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 30, 2014 with Color Guard preceded by a viewing from 6 – 8 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX.
