Tom lived his life to the fullest. He did not “miss the boat”. Although he had three careers during his lifetime, his most-cherished role was that of ordained Deacon in the Catholic Diocese of Dallas for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Irene (Vlk), brother Howard (Marie), daughter Kara (Mike Griffin), son Michael (Brenna) and grandchildren Nathan Griffin and Lucia Weir.
A Vigil service for Tom will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 4 at 11:30 at St. Elizabeth Seton with inurnment following at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas at 3:00.
Tom will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In his honor, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, the American Cancer Society, the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Capital Campaign.
