Theron Wesley Mabry Sr., age 89, a resident of Dallas since 1945, died on 15 May 2010. He was born in Sweat Box, Texas on June 28, 1920 the 2nd of 6 children. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Fairlie High School. After graduation, he joined the Army Air Corps and proudly served during World War II. He met his wife Adriana while stationed in Puerto Rico and they were married in Ponce, Puerto Rico on May 19, 1943. After the war, they moved to Dallas where he founded Mabry Insulation Company which he owned and operated for over 60 years, passed on to his youngest son, and remained active helping his son with the business until a month before he passed away. Theron and Adriana raised 3 sons and one daughter, all of whom now live in the Dallas area. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Adriana in 1989, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and by his granddaughter Lisa Diane Mabry in 1997. He is survived by his sister Reba Crowley of Farmers Branch; son Steven and wife Susan, son Ron and wife Wendy, son Theron Jr and wife Barbara, all of Dallas; daughter Marie Larson and husband Steve of Southlake; grandchildren Michael Mabry and wife Amy, Brett Larson and wife Susan, Meredith Weber and husband Austin, Keith Larson, Samantha Schulze and husband Jeff, Kimberly Mabry, Alexis Mabry and husband Joey Antillon, and Audrey Ann Mabry; and great-grandchildren Peyton and Cole Mabry, and Sarah and John Theron Larson. Theron was generous to a fault, dearly loved Dallas, and loved to tell anyone who would listen to stories of how he watched Dallas grow. If you believed him, he told us that he pretty much insulated the whole city. He loved people and never met anyone he didn't like. We will all miss his wit, his stories, his kindness, and his gentle, loving soul.
