Theresa Bannister, 65, passed on December 25, 2023. She was born January 14, 1958 in Dallas, TX to her parents George and Esther Martinez. She was one of eight siblings: Gregory, Karen, Georgia, Cindy, Olga, Delia, and Anthony, who all knew her as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and mother. Theresa was happiest helping students and teachers at Saint Monica School, where she served her community for over 20 years. She was a good friend to many staff members, and even kept several works of art from former students who brought joy to her life. She loved to cheer on her favorite Dallas Cowboys, and every game day she could be found wrapped in a team blanket and yelling at the referees as if she were on the field with them. Theresa was lucky to have met the love of her life, Jimmy, who she was married to for over 40 years until Jimmy’s sudden death in 2020. They are both survived by their son Mario and his wife Tara, their daughter Kimberly and her husband Andrew, and their grandchildren Marissa and Mia.
