Terry was born January 23, 1955 to the late Marshall Thomas Sr. and Fannie M.Simmons. Terry entered into holy matrimony with Katie Biggs, Sep 5, 1975. Through that union two children were born Terry Lee Thomas II and Teresa Leann Thomas.
Terry was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Jean Mason-Jackson (2005).
As a child, Terry was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. L. E. Heard, in Richmond, California and was baptized at an early age (6). Terry attended Harry Els High School and entered into the U.S. Army (active duty), in 1973. Terry ended his military career as a U.S. Army Individual Ready Reserve (IRR) reservist in 1995. After leaving the military Terry worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs and American Airlines, before becoming a contracted employee working under contracts in support of the Department of Defense (DOD). Terry retired Dec 2017 after many years of work and international travel to spend quality time with his wife and family. Terry was a kind and generous man. He was one in a million, the last of a dying breed an excellent provider, protector and like a father to many. Terry is truly loved and will be sorely missed.
Terry leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, one son, Terry Thomas II (Melesa), Fort Worth, Tx, one daughter, Teresa Thomas DeSoto, Tx, Two grandchildren, Zuriel and Zanna Prado, four sisters, Carrie Williams (Emily), Richmond, CA., Barbara Thomas (Connie Sowell), Oakland, California, Cheryl Thomas, Richmond, CA, Joan Smith, Richmond, CA, and three brothers, Marshall Thomas Jr., Sacramanto, CA, Victor Smith (Ina), Richmond, CA, John Smith, Richmond, CA, and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
