Terry Eugene Carter, age 60, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on May 3, 2022 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born in Dallas, Texas on January 21, 1962 to Wallace Monroe Carter and Deloris Lola Willerford. Terry was raised in Balch Springs. He married Jan in 2008 and the couple combined their previous children.
Terry worked at A-1 services for many years. He worked in many fields of the construction industry throughout his life and was an experienced "Jack of all Trades".
Terry was an exceptional athlete during his younger years, playing football and baseball. He loved dirt track racing, hunting, fishing, golf, restoring classic cars and trucks, and spending countless hours with his grandchildren.
Terry is survived by his loving mother, Deloris Carter; wife, Jan Carter; nephew, Philip Carter; nephew, Adam Carter and wife Jackie; daughter, Shelby Virtue; stepsons, Jared and wife Angela, and Joey; great-nephews, Romeo, Sam, Marcus, Isaac, and Michael; great-nieces, Makayla, Alyssa and Bella; grandchildren, Josslyn, Carter, Wyatt, and two additional grandchildren currently on the way; as well as many very close friends and families through the years.
Terry is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Monroe "Punkin" Carter; sister, Sharon Lynne Carter; brother, Joel Wade "Bubba" Carter; son, Brandon Looney; and nephew, Samuel "Sammy" Carter; and countless other beloved family members.
