Teresa Gayle Simonsen

Teresa Gayle Simonsen, born August 25, 1959, passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2015.She is survived by her spouse, Ben Simonsen and two children, Robert Ault and Anthony Simonsen, and granddaughter, Hallie. She is also survived by her mother, Inez Trahan, brother Charles Trahan Jr. and spouse Helen; brother John and spouse Dottie; and sister Valerie Fine and spouse Ted, and several nieces and nephews. Teresa is preceded in death by her father, Charles Trahan, Sr. She was born in Galveston, TX and grew up in Amarillo, where she graduated from Amarillo High School in 1977. She moved to Dallas in 1980 and worked in the grocery industry, most recently employed by Fiesta in Dallas. Teresa was very artistic and enjoyed painting beautiful scenes and creating colorful flower arrangements. She loved bowling, and her children are carrying on the tradition. Teresa’s favorite hobby was playing Bingo, and with her outgoing personality, she could enter a room of strangers and leave having spoken to everyone, making friends along the way. Her memorial service will be Sunday, March 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home at 10501 Garland Rd., Dallas, Texas. A reception will immediately follow.
