Ted W. Henry was born July 19, 1932 to the late John and Zola Henry in Purcell, Oklahoma. Two sisters, four brothers, two sons; Jerome Henry and Charles Ray Harper and two son-in-laws; Eugene Brown and Pleaz Williams preceded him in death. At an early age, he joined the First Baptist Church in Purcell. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Oklahoma City. After graduating, he served his country in the U.S. Army. He also attended Langston University in Oklahoma. He began his career in the restaurant industry and became very competent in all aspects. He married his beloved wife, Annie Harper Henry, May 18, 1966. Shortly after, he united with the Forest Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend E.A. Greer, Reverend McCray and present Pastor Burkley. He retired from Weiss Enterprises in 2000. After retiring, he had more time to view and engage in his favorite sports such as golf, football and basketball. He enjoyed spending leisure time with his canine friend Bubba. He truly loved returning to his hometown to attend his church’s homecoming and his family reunion! Ted leaves to following loved ones to cherish his memories wife; Annie Henry; three daughters; Ethel Henry Brown, Brenda Henry Russell (Brad), Belinda Henry Brown (Roy) one son; Rickey R. Harper (Millie) two daughter-in-laws; Lisa Harper and Francis Franks. Nine granddaughters, five grandsons, six great-granddaughters, three grand dogs and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
