Susan Ruth Ann Stutts-Stivers, known lovingly as Suzie, was born on Thursday, February 19, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Orlin Donald Stutts of Mississippi and Myrtle Gladys Sanders of Ripley, Tennessee and passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Dallas Regional Hospital in Mesquite, Texas with her family by her side.
Suzie was the sixth of eight children, and baby girl of the family, born to Orlin and Gladys. She graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1977 where she was a cheerleader and was voted “Best Dressed” twice by her peers.
Suzie had two children three years apart, Amber and Adam. In 1986, she married the love of her life, Larry Stivers. They made their life in Mesquite, Texas. Eventually, they would welcome five grandchildren. Over the years, they enjoyed traveling, playing with their beloved dogs, spending time with friends and family, working on their home, raising their children and even more so spoiling their grandbabies. In her spare time, Suzie could be found working on a crossword puzzle or crafting while listening to Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Blake Shelton or watching Family Feud. Before retiring, she worked as an Insurance Coordinator for many years at American Chiropractic where many saw her as a trusted friend and mentor.
Suzie was known as being quietly generous, funny, fiercely loyal, sweet, protective, and could make the best cheesy potatoes and mini cherry cheesecakes you have ever tasted. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family.
She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister Judy, brother Donnie, nephew AJ, niece Teresa and nephew Bobby T.
She is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Amber Diebold and her husband Michael, son Adam Tripp and his wife Shon, grandchildren who are Savannah Diebold, Logan Diebold, Elijah Diebold, Kaya Tripp and Jacob Diebold, sisters who are Sue Shumate and her husband Bob, Vicky Davis and her husband Boo, brothers David Stutts and his wife Mary, Bobby Stutts, and Jerry Stutts and his wife Shelly, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, as well as her beloved Shelties Otis and Ernest T.
