Susie Emogene Boles

Susie was born in Dallas, TX on August 11, 1925 to Richard Abbott and Hattie (Williams) Abbott. She was raised in Dallas, TX and graduated from Crozier Tech High School in 1943.

She was married to Delmar Bene' in 1945 and was blessed with two sons, Richard Wayne Bene' and Gary Lynn Bene'.

Susie was able to work at home until her boys graduated from High School and then she went to work for the City of Dallas Park Department. She worked there until her retirement in 1984.

While enjoying her retirement, she was an active member of the Eastern Star and an active member of her church until her health began to decline.

Susie loved to travel, especially with her mother. Another favorite activity was going to the movies with her son Gary. She also enjoyed the companionship of her dogs .. Miss Dog and Mr. Rags.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her son, Richard Wayne Bene' and her sister, Joy Hare.

Susie is survived by her son Gary Lynn Bene' and his wife Brenda of Red Oak, TX, grandchildren David Bene', Christy Bell, Timothy Bene', Randy Bene', Kelsey Bene', Cheryl Bene' Spofford, and several great grandchildren.

Services are as follows: Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R L Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX, Visitation will be Tuesday, September 21, from 6 - 8 pm and Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 22 at 10:00 a.m.
