Dr. Steve Saeed Ahmed, age 60, passed away on June 30, 2023 in Dallas, TX after battling cancer for over two years. He was born on July 11, 1962 in Pakistan to Fatima and Ali Memon. Steve was raised in Pakistan where he graduated from Sindh Medical College.
He married his wife Lucy Raymond (née Dsouza) in 1988 and the couple had two children. He worked as a physician for over thirty years specializing in Pediatrics in Big Spring, TX. He served as a professor for Texas Tech Medical School and Physician Assistant programs, Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Cosmetic Medicine, and served on the Texas Medical Board as well as many other accolades and officer positions during his career.
In his spare time Steve enjoyed traveling as his favorite hobby, being at the beach, dancing, collecting artwork and sports memorabilia, listening to audiobooks especially on self improvement and philosophy, studying finance and working towards his MBA program, listening to music outdoors in the backyard, watching standup and other comedy, writing his memoir book, collecting and shooting guns on his ranch, and most of all spending time and making memories with family. His family and friends will always remember him as a compassionate, hardworking, open-minded, adventurous, and ambitious person.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ali Memon Ahmed and Fatima; his brother, Ashwaq Memon Ahmed; his mother-in-law, Maggie Dsouza; brother-in-law John Dsouza; and sister-in-law Philomena Bangera.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy Saeed Raymond; his son, Schon Saeed Raymond; his daughter Loveita Saeed Raymond and son-in-law Nicholas Tinnesz. His grandchildren Leonidas Saeed Tinnesz and Lucy-Elizabeth Saeed Tinnesz. His brothers Rafiq Memon, Mustaq Memon, Ishtiaq (Jani) Ahmed, and Tariq Ahmed. His sisters Appa Rashida Naseem Sattar, Fareeda Rehman, Famida Almas Bano, and Bhoori Altaf Bano; brothers-in-law Peter and Charlie Dsouza, John Michael and sister-in-law Winnie Michael and his many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Steve will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A mass of Christian burial will be held July 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Calvary Hill Main Mausoleum North Chapel. The committal will immediately follow mass at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
