Stacy Elizabeth Tucker, age 57, of Plano, Texas entered into eternal peace on Monday October 8, 2018. Stacy was born Tuesday August 29, 1961 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Joy B. Smith and Charles C. Smith.
She was the middle child of four. Two brothers and one sister, Eric, John and Michelle Smith. Stacy was always a Daddy's girl and anytime she needed or wanted something, she would bribe her Dad with ice tea and homemade tuna fish sandwiches. It worked every time!
Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana she graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1979. She attended Our Lady of the Lake College and University of Texas Arlington to earn her RN and BSN degrees. Stacy has lived in DFW area since 1986. For over 25 years she worked in Nursing as an RN and OR Manger, predominantly in Baylor Medical System.
Stacy enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her passion was following the LSU Tigers, often attending regular season and post season games in locations such as Wisconsin, Florida, Atlanta and of course Death Valley!
Stacy's favorite places to visit were her hometown of Baton Rouge and any beach on the Florida panhandle. Her most cherished times were being with her beloved son, Brennan Tucker. She will be fondly remembered for her nicknames Stacelia and DaeDae. Stacy was a very caring person who had lots of friends and was always available. She made a positive impact on many people’s lives.
Stacy is survived by; son Brennan Tucker; sister Michelle Smith, brother Eric Smith, sister-in-law Vickie Smith, brother John G. Smith and sister-in-law Lisa Smith; nephew Cole Smith, nephew Grayson Smith, niece Jennifer Bennett, grandniece Zoey Bennett and grandnephew Boston Bennett.
Stacy was preceded in death by; father Charles C. Smith and mother Joy B. Smith. She is also preceded in death by nephew Gannon Brooks.
A celebration of life for Stacy will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 8011 Frankford Road, Dallas, Texas. The service will be followed by refreshments and fellowship in the reception area.
