Shirley Becker Doolan

Shirley Becker Doolan passed away July 19, 2012. She was born in Dallas September 10, 1931, her parents were Vernon Eugene Becker and Agnes Lorraine Becker. She worked for 30 years for the Federal Government.

Shirley was Valedictorian of the Class of 1948 at Our Lady of Good Council Academy; past president of St. Thomas Aquinas altar society and Republican Party delegate for the Lakewood Precinct. She was office manager for Judge Barefoot Sanders. Survivors are children Deb E. Dee, Theodore Edmond (Ted) Doolan, Jr. and Steven Eugene Doolan; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Shirley was a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rosary 7:00 pm Monday at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass, 10:00 am, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Very Rev. John Libone, V.F., celebrant. Interment Calvary Hill Cemetery.

Shirley was loved by all & the Rock of Gibraltar to her family and will be missed . “She was a loving & selfless mother who led by the example of her sterling character.”
