Shirley was born October 7, 1931, in Dallas, Texas to John H. and Inza Pollard, and passed away December 11, 2011.
She graduated from North Dallas High School, and attended Arlington State College (now UTA). She was a long-time resident of Trophy Club, Texas. Pre-deceased by son, Paul Lee Brown.
Survived by husband, O.D.”Don” Brown of Trophy Club; daughter, Judy Richards and husband Michael; son, David Brown and wife Brenda; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, John D. Pollard and wife Debby; brother-in-law Doug Brown and wife Lota.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00p.m., December 21 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. The family will receive friends at the conclusion of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Shirley’s memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Dallas, 4144 N. Central Expressway, Suite #750, Dallas, TX 75204.
