Shellee Lynn Proffitt

Shellee was born in Dallas, Texas on August 26, 1967, to Patricia Marrs and Ronald Marrs. She graduated from Irving High School and continued to receive an Accounting Degree from the University of North Texas.

Shellee worked as a Controller for Trinity Industries and Senior Accounts Receivable/Treasury Manager at Galderma Laboratories. She enjoyed hanging out with friends and family and making a house feel like a home. She loved making other people feel special and loved. In addition, she liked to spend time making care bags for breast cancer patients to help get them through the tough times.

Shellee is preceded in death by Ronald Marrs, Ruth Young, Lester Young Sr. and James Lathen.

Shellee is survived by Paige Massengale (daughter), Jordan Ray (son), Patricia Marrs (mother), Kipper Marrs (sister) and Kimberly Stone (cousin), Chance Massengale (son-in-law) and Chelsea Posada (daughter-in-law). We cannot forget all the fur babies Bella, Gracie, Codi, Oreo, and Bentley.

Visitation will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday July 30th at Grove Hill. Burial will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday July 30th at Grove Hill Funeral Home with Bob Harper officiating. Committal will follow at Grove Hill at 3:00pm.

The family of Shellee Proffitt wishes to thank the staff at Texas Oncology, MD Anderson and Vitas Hospice Facility for all the help and support over the years.
