Sheila Rae Slider

Sheila was born in Dallas, TX on November 27, 1950, to William and Rita Montgomery. She graduated from Samuel High School and continued to receive a Bachelor of Arts from Dallas Baptist University. Sheila was married to Dean Slider on July 14, 1976; they were married 47 years.

Sheila worked as a teacher for Dallas Independent Schools for 38 years. She enjoyed reading historical fiction novels, flowers, and animals. She was also actively involved in choir at church.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents William and Rita Montgomery.

Sheila is survived by Dean, Marcus and Christi, Daniel and Leslie, Levi, Corbin, Eden, and William(Liam) Slider and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm on March 4th at Grove Hill. Burial will be held at 2pm on March 5th at Grove Hill with Pastor Paul Gilbreath officiating. Committal will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sheila’s memory may be made to Sheila Slider at Grove Hill.
