Sheila Parker Odom, age 68, passed away on September 4, 2023 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born on September 14, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Odell and Arlene Parker. Sheila was raised in the Casa View area of Dallas, and graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1973.
She later married Randy Franklin Odom, and the couple had 2 children. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for numerous years.
Sheila enjoyed country dancing and spending time with her friends. She spent her last hours living life to its fullest doing just that. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and spent most of her time with her trusted canine companion, Molly who she spoiled rotten. She loved the outdoors and would carry a fishing pole and a tent with her always, just in case. She devoted her life to remembering her father and mother and would never let their graves be without flowers. She will always be close to our hearts.
Her family and friends will remember her as a sweet lady with a carefree spirit. She was a loyal person that always had a positive attitude and would try to instill positivity in others. She cared deeply for people and enjoyed good times with friends and family. She will forever be missed in the hearts of her friends and family, until we meet again.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Odell (Joe) Parker and Arlene Thatcher Parker, and her husband, Randy Franklin Odom.
She is survived by her daughter Autumne Mechelle Price and her husband Joel Bruce Price, and their kids Parker Bruce Price and Jackson Gunnar Price; her son Phillip James Joh Odom and his wife Cedia Odom, and their children, Kinleigh Caleb, Aurora, and Gracie; her sister Sandra McKamie, her niece Heather Petty and her nephew Heath McKamie.
Sheila was a champion roller-skater and spent her youth roller dancing and winning many trophies. Her costumes were one of a kind, sewn by her mother, and loved by all. She was always at Devil’s Bowl, flagging the start of races and awarding trophies. She then became a wife and mother and went on to raise two successful children.
