Sergio (Yeyo) Munoz, 33 years old, passed on March 16, 2020. Sergio was born in San Bartolo Naucalpan, Mexico City on October 8, 1986.
Sergio, who was a loving and caring son and brother, always put his parents and siblings first. The bond he had with his family was unbreakable. In fact, a few weeks before his passing he got a tattoo dedicated to his family on his chest, close to his heart that states, “ Family, I carry with me the example of my father, the love of my mother, and the company of my siblings.”
He was a kind and generous person; always willing to give a helping hand to whoever needed it, regardless of the situation. He was loved by many. He loved nothing more than to spend time with family and friends, to cook outdoors and enjoy nature. He loved sports, soccer being his main passion, never missing a Monday night indoor match, he was always loyal to his indoor team “Cuervos”. Bike riding, paintball, going to the shooting range, fishing, swimming, were all things he loved to do, amongst other sports. No matter what genre, Sergio loved music, he listened to urban rock, reggae, salsa, cumbia, bachata, disco, electronic, along with many more; when he would listen, he would listen with the volume all the way up, singing along, and dancing (always to the beat), he had so much fun.
FC Barcelona had his heart; being a very passionate fan, win or lose he would always be an “Azulgrana”. Ronaldinho Gaucho was his favorite player, the player he looked up to.
Although he was taken too soon, he lived the best way possible, living life to the fullest, and living day by day with a smile. Truly, he never really left us, with his memory always being in our mind and hearts, all we have to do is close our eyes and see his face beaming with joy; his smile, full of love; his laugh, full of life; along with his optimism, which is what distinguished him. Sergio will be with us, until God calls us and we meet again.
Sergio is survived by his parents, Jose E Munoz and Modesta Bahena, his siblings, Ana Munoz, Arturo Munoz, Angel Munoz, Jose A Munoz, and Mariana Munoz; along with his nieces and nephews, Angely Munoz, Isaac Munoz, Yaretzi Munoz, Xóchitl Munoz and Elias Munoz, his godson, he loved and adored them with all his heart.
The family of Sergio Munoz would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, love and support. May God and the Virgin bless you always.
