Sergio was one of a kind. He loved family gatherings and time around the kitchen making tamales with his grandmother, Angelica. His smile and laugh were infectious, and he enjoyed making his family laugh with jokes, dance, and comments that were borderline insults. He cherished his time with his nieces and nephews. He celebrated his birthday with cake shared with his grandmother. He helped in the kitchen every tamale season, and knew grandma's recipe better than most. He had 3 bottles of Valentina in the pantry, two backup and one on hand. He thought he was the best dancer, but in truth he had no rhythm. He had a zest for spice, life and love.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Eloisa and Gregorio Almanza, great grandmother Maria Villanueva, grandfather Reymundo Banda Sr. and niece Vivian Bartosiewicz.
He is survived parents Albert and Dalia Almanza, brother Albert and wife Elizabeth and sister Cynthia and husband Bob Bartosiewicz, nieces and nephews Mark, David, Zoe, Noah, Ethan, Luke, and other family and friends.
