Scott was born on October 6th, 1967 in Dallas, TX to George A. Smith III and Sandra Hunter Neff He was raised in Dallas along with his brother Stephen and sister Shannon. Scott graduated from the Winston School in 1986 where he received numerous awards for his involvement in student council, arts, and sports.
Scott had accomplished a great deal throughout his life and lived each day to the fullest. His passions for photography, sports, food, balloon festivals, telling the annual Thanksgiving joke and disc golf will leave a radiating impression for all to remember.
In truth, these accomplishments would not be listed from his own words as he would always state his sole best achievement was fathering his son, Andrew H. Smith. His constant praise, his infectious love, his contagious smile and his good heart are the important lessons he always instilled in those around him.
While this may seem like Scott’s farewell, we must always remember that his favorite quote “Live Long and Prosper” will be carried on as he looks down upon us from above. We will honor his memory by living life with sincere compassion just as he did.
Scott is survived by his son, Andrew H. Smith, his father, George A. Smith III, and stepmother Karla K. Smith, and his mother, Sandra Hunter Neff. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21st, 2019, at Sparkman Hillcrest in Dallas, TX at 12:00 pm.
