Sarah Catherine Cross

Sarah Catherine Cross, beloved daughter of Ralph and Connie Cross, born on September 24, 1969, in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. In addition to her parents, Sarah is survived by her brother Tom Cross, his wife, Jae, nieces, Jenisha, Taylor, Cale and Haylee Cross of Houston, Texas, her Aunt Alice Rohrer, Aunt Sara and Uncle Larry Albregts of Homestead, Fla., Aunt Rebecca Robinson of Fort Worth, TX., and numerous cousins and friends.

Sarah was a 1987 graduate of Richardson High School and received a B.A. degree in Public Relations and Marketing from Texas Tech University in 1991. She was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority at

Texas Tech University. Sarah had a successful career as a Healthcare Professional with experience in physician relations, territory management, market analysis and sales. She began her career in Lubbock, Texas with LabCorp in 1992. She moved to PCA Healthcare Plans in Dallas, Texas in 1994. In 1995 her adventurous spirit took her to Pasadena, California, where she assumed a position as HealthCare Specialist /Staffing Consultant for Talent Tree Crystal, Inc. In 1999, missing her family in Texas, Sarah returned to Dallas and a position at St. Paul Medical Foundation. In 2000, Sarah became a Physician Relations Representative at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Sarah’s last position was as a Market Development Representative for Availity, LLC, Dallas, Texas. Sarah will be remembered for her outgoing, kind and generous spirit and her love of family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:30-8:30 PM on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 West Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas 70225. A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church Richardson, 503 N. Central Expressway at 4:00 PM on Monday, May 2, 2011, followed by a reception at the church. Donations in Sarah’s memory may be made to First United Methodist Church of Richardson or the charity of your choice.
