Sara Ybarra Gomez

She graduated from Sunset High School and was part of the National Honor Society. Sara was married to Jose A Gomez Jr on July 16, 1977; they were married 46 years. Sara worked as a Facilities Specialist for AT&T for 30 plus years then retired in 2005. She enjoyed making jewelry, and rosaries. She always had a love for music, crafts, and cooking. She loved laughing with her family and friends, putting family gatherings together especially for the holidays. She was actively involved with Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults where she became godmother to many family members. While together, she enjoyed dancing to Tejano music and loving her "hunny".

Sara is preceded in death by her father Birginio P. Ybarra, mother Maria Luisa Ybarra, husband Jose A Gomez Jr, and brother Edward Ybarra. Sara is survived by children Jose A. Gomez III, Nicole Gomez-Little, Chloe Monet Perez: brothers Carlos Ybarra, Arturo Ybarra, and Albert Ybarra: brother in law Steven Reina: sister Virginia Reina and sisters in law Loli Ybarra and Linda Ybarra: son in laws Tony Little and Robert Perez Sr: grandchildren Robert Perez Jr and Mia Monet Little.

Visitation will be held at at Calvary Hill Funeral Home on Thursday April 11, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held at Calvary Hill on Friday April 12, 2024 at 1 pm in the North Chapel. Committal will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
