Sally R. DeLeon passed away on January 4, 2014. She was 38. Sally was born on September 15, 1975 to Matias and Diamantina Rodriguez. She grew up in Carrollton and attended R. L. Turner. Sally met her husband, Mario in school and were married 13 years. Though they had no children of their own, she helped raise some of their nieces and nephews and loved them as her own. Sally, also known as “Titi” will be remembered for giving nicknames to other family members as well as being loving and caring. In her later years, she would’ve been the matriarch of her family. She assumed responsibility for the care of her mother and father and was considered a caretaker for other family members. Sally is gone too soon and will be greatly missed. Her family and friends will never forget her smile that easily lit up a room. Sally is survived by her husband, mother, sister: Connie and Bryan Elledge of Little Elm; brothers: Matias Jr and Juanita of The Colony, Ruben and Denise Rodriguez of Carrollton, Steve and JeriAnn Rodriguez of Lewisville, Paul Rodriguez of Carrollton and Chuy Gaytan of Farmers Branch; mother-in-law: Maria Deleon of Carrollton; sisters-in-law: Gracie DeLeon and Tammy DeLeon; brother-in-law: Pete DeLeon and many nieces and nephews. The family will accept family and friends for a Visitation on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel. A service in her honor will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
